Hailing from the rough and rugged streets of the Eastside of Chicago, Brandon Dickinson “Lil Bibby” to most has emerged as one of Chicago’s brightest star’s.
Bibby started rapping around three years ago for numerous amount of reasons. “It was fun. It gave us something to do to past time on the block, but mostly I couldn’t relate to the music that was in style at the time. Me and my guys saw and did a lot of crazy shit, and I felt like the world needed to hear our story.” claims Bibby. It was when Bibby started losing close family and friends to the violence in the streets he knew he had to start taking his natural talent for rapping serious. “I know I had to do something to get people out of here.” Says Bibby.
Bibby is giving the world a bird’s eye view of the day to day life if a young man living in Chicago with his highly anticipated mixtape Free Crack. When asked about the title “Free Crack” his response was: “I named it “Free Crack” because when people would hear me rap they would say “shorty got crack” that was the slang.”
Free Crack is slated to drop on July 23rd. With production from the likes of Young Chop, Sonny Digital, Don Rob, and Cardo just to name a few. Features include Lil Herb, King Louie and a few surprise guest.
